I am a California girl who grew up in Downey, California. I graduated from Warren High School. My favorite activities besides academics were Swimming and Band. I earned my Bachelor's degree from CSULB in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Language and Composition, though I began as a Math major.
I have been teaching at Los Alisos since it began as Lampton Middle School in 1993 before we moved to the Los Alisos campus. I was awarded teacher of the year at Los Alisos in 1998.
In 1999 I earned a Master's degree in Educational Technology from National University.
Most of my years at Los Alisos I have been a regular ed homeroom teacher for RSP students, but I decided that I wanted to teach the students who needed a bit more support. I started working with Los Angeles County Office of Education to get my Special Education Mild/Moderate Credential. I am thoroughly enjoying teaching my Academic Support Class students.
I have been married to my husband since 1995 and we enjoy lots of hobbies together. In my spare time, I enjoy playing all kinds of games. My current favorite role playing games are D & D, Mutants and Masterminds (Superheroes) and Starfinder. My favorite console games are Overwatch, The Division, and Sea of Thieves on XBox One. I also enjoy Road Biking, Mountain Biking, and Gravel Biking.
I am known as a technology problem solver at Los Alisos. I am currently the coach for our Wolfbots Lego Robotics Team.
I was the yearbook adviser at Los Alisos from 2004-2016--guiding a club of mostly student volunteers to create their yearbook, making sure that the content stays appropriate. Most of my years at Los Alisos I have directed and produced musical theater performances as an after school drama club. Productions have included "Annie" and "The Wizard of Oz."
I am looking forward to teaching our students and utilizing technology to help our students reach their highest potential.
